Hi, I am GIGI

I have been in the Early Childhood Education field for thirty years now. I have a Master’s degree in the Humanities, a Program Director Permit and am fluent in German, where I grew up. I have three children, the youngest which is seven years old. I have a great fondness for art and the creative and oftentimes messy process involved. It has always been my dream to create a program that can encompass the best a program can offer. I have worked as a large family childcare provider for 16 years, Early Head Start for 3 years, a non profit for 4 years and a for profit for the past 3 years. I hope to take my experiences and apply only the best to this new venture.

Hello my name is Lina.  I have a long history of working with children from all backgrounds and different walks of life.  I have a sincere fascination and intrigue with the connection between the nervous system, gross motor movement, and cognition. I have worked along side occupational therapists and other experts in the field of neuroscience. I love to learn from all who I encounter, and learn from the children at Little Tree everyday. I aspire to ignite the joy of learning with my students.  I encounter challenges with a heart-felt optimism. I am lucky to work with such a talented and unique group of teachers here at Little Tree Preschool.

Hello my name is Troy Nguyen, I have my bachelor’s degree in art history from the University of Pennsylvania, there I minored in anthropology and during my studies I became interested in not only the development of human beings but also the development of the human mind. This led me to study early childhood development, to get a better understanding of how the mind forms and the critical influences on early development. I really enjoy working with children because they are so inquisitive and curious. I view them as little scientists, conducting experiments and discovering different aspects of our world. It is so rewarding teaching them new information about animals and places and proposing questions to them that stimulate thought. This along with seeing their faces light up with excitement about learning always brings joy to my day.

My name is Jenny Szeto. I have been working in the childcare field for the past 11 years. I have a B.A. degree in Child Development. Children make me smile and laugh. I love watching them learn and grow and helping them along the way. Working at Little Tree is a truly unique opportunity and I love it!

Hello, my name is Briana! I graduated from San Francisco State University with a bachelor’s in journalism, but shortly thereafter realized teaching was my true passion. Throughout high school and college, I volunteered as a tutor for elementary schoolers and as a teacher’s aide for preschoolers. I love working with kids because I love seeing the untarnished joy and enthusiasm for learning that they have. I really think we can learn as much from them as they can from us. I’m so excited to be working at Little Tree and teaching such a wonderful group of children!
